Loooove this
My sister had a job interview at a pet store today, so I offered to help send a subliminal message about her dedication to our furry friends.  She’s not sure if she’s going to take the job, but at least her nails looked cute!
Base is the ever-wonderful Butter London Wallis with Sally Hansen Whirlwind White for the paw prints.

I woke up wanting to put leopard print on my nails, but this came out instead.  I’ve been really obsessed with dots lately and it’s always fun coming up with new ways to use my dotting tool.  Also, excuse the cuticle bits that I haven’t nipped off yet - I took this photo right after a nice, relaxing bath. :)
Base is Clarins Patient Pink, which unfortunately doesn’t show the subtle flakies from the photo, nor does it look particularly pink on my skin.  It’s really a lovely color, though!  Dots are an unlabeled sample-size Sephora brown.

After a few days of (unsuccessfully) trying to make image transfers with my printer and normal paper, I finally broke down and bought temporary tattoo paper to suit my needs.  I put down a layer of white, then stuck the image I’d printed off on the tattoo paper, then filed off the excess paper.  After that, of course two coats of Seche Vite.  I’m pretty pleased with how clear it is!

The images, for those who don’t follow Japanese pop idols, is Matsumoto Jun, a member of the group Arashi.  He’s one of my favorite celebrities (and one who used to paint his fingernails and toenails all sorts of crazy colors!) so I thought he’d be a fitting first attempt.

My best friend came over yesterday for a nails-and-makeup day, so she let me borrow her hands for nail art practice.  When we originally talked about what she wanted me to paint, she said that she’d be sad if she went home with something other than cats or dinosaurs on her nails.  For extra insurance, I gave her a hand of each. :)

Base is Essie Dive Bar - if anyone wants the list of the other colors (and there’s a lot!) feel free to ask and I’ll add them to the post.
